Hi Steve,
I thought I'd give you an update so you could see how
you've benefited H. Pearce (or at least the Madison office).
I know we were a difficult and unruly bunch--but I was
always listening intently and picking and choosing those
things to implement. You probably recall that I took
a different approach--I decided to apply some of your
strategies to my agents first, then concentrate on recruiting.
Well this idea has had great results: for the first six
months of 2002 we doubled our originations and tripled
our profit (this was not due to a great market, but rather
to my agents being more focused and productive!)
And (of course) you were right--its much easier to recruit
to a solid business model. Using some of your contact
strategies I've substantially increased the number of
interviews I've had and through your interviewing techniques
I have chosen to add 3 great agents to our office (I've
chosen not to add the others...none of which have been
successful elsewhere!). I'm probably too picky in recruiting
for your tastes, but I'm recruiting with a vision and
its certainly paying off--we're definitely becoming the
place where agents can make money and develop their business!
